Our educational tutoring for GED and college preparation is provided by qualified individuals who may have had their own issues with substance abuse in the past.
As an example, D. Thom, co-founder of Academic Social Innovation, is a dedicated professional with a doctoral degree in education. In the past, he has had his own issues, however, he now has 29 years free from substance abuse.
In service to our community, we have been able to help learners receive either their GED or college preparartion and get into college. Although education is considered to be open access to all learners, in reality, unless they have a GED or score above the cut-off score, they may not recieve financial aid, which may prohibit entry into college. With 70% of our learners entering college, we were able to help these academically underprepared learners strive toward their educational goals.
